The CENTER
Practice independence in real life
A supported residential program where young adults learn by living, planning and doing together.

A home for learning
The CENTER uses an apartment-like living environment with a kitchen, laundry area, bathroom and shared living space. Participants practice living with a roommate, sharing common areas and taking care of everyday tasks.
Morning lessons and community trips focus on practical skills; afternoons include social and recreational programming. Summit says the program is structured and supervised while allowing room for individual growth.
Four areas of practice
The curriculum combines life skills, organization and executive functioning, social communication and pre-vocational development.
- Meals, shopping, laundry, hygiene and basic home care.
- Planning, time management, records and money skills.
- Conversation, conflict navigation, social safety and self-advocacy.
- Forms, phone skills, transportation and work-related habits.
Readiness and published rates
Summit asks families to consider the participant’s motivation for independence, comfort sharing space, ability to communicate safety concerns and readiness for a setting with a maximum 3:1 participant-to-staff ratio.
The CENTER page lists the full 2027 program at $19,950 and Mini CENTER at $3,300. Its dates differ slightly from the main camp dates page, so confirm the exact arrival and departure dates with Summit.
