Summit’s accreditation is one way families can evaluate its approach to operations, staff and safety.
What the review covers
Summit says it undergoes American Camp Association accreditation review. ACA standards address topics such as staff qualifications and training, emergency management, programming and camp operations.
ACA develops its practices with input from youth-serving and health organizations. Accreditation offers a framework for questions families should ask about the support their participant will receive.
What families can ask
A useful conversation goes beyond a seal. Ask how staff are trained, how medical or dietary needs are managed, what supervision looks like, and how the team responds when a participant needs extra support.
