Mission & philosophy
Connection is the point
A camp experience designed around social growth, personal strengths and the joy of being part of a group.

A safe place to practice
Summit describes its camp and travel programs as therapeutically designed for young people with social, emotional, developmental and learning differences. Participants often want friendships but need a setting where those relationships can develop with thoughtful support.
Staff create opportunities to practice social skills through shared activities, group living and supervised learning groups. The experience also gives families a secure respite while participants gain confidence and independence.
Progress at each person’s pace
Activities are selected to match participants’ abilities while leaving room for challenge and discovery. Instruction across recreation areas lets a camper recognize their own growth instead of measuring success only against others.
The program aims to be flexible enough for individual interests, support needs and the realities of each day.
