When a recommendation may help

A young person may be ready for a richer peer community yet still need more understanding and structure than a conventional camp or trip can offer. Summit presents its programs as an option for participants with mixed strengths and social-learning needs.

Professionals who know a family’s goals and a young person’s readiness can help identify whether a conversation with Summit is worthwhile.

Start with the individual

A referral is most useful when it includes the participant’s strengths, social interests, communication, support needs and the setting in which they tend to do best.

Summit invites professionals to contact the team for program information and to discuss potential fit with a family.
