Program fit
Find the right fit together
The best starting point is a conversation about the person, the setting and the support that helps them succeed.

Look beyond a label
Summit says no diagnosis automatically qualifies or excludes a young person. Many participants have learning, attention or autism-related differences, but what matters most is whether the particular program can meet their needs and help them build reciprocal peer relationships.
The team invites families to discuss a prospective participant’s social experiences, communication, daily routines, interests and support systems before investing time in an application.
Questions worth asking
How does the participant approach a new group? What helps them recover from frustration or sensory overload? Which activities spark interest? What degree of supervision is needed for daily living and safety?
The answers may point toward camp, travel, a Weekender or the CENTER—or toward a different next step. Summit’s admissions conversation is meant to help make that judgment thoughtfully.
