Peer grouping, female mentors and shared activities are part of how Summit supports its girls’ community.
Belonging begins with peers
Summit describes grouping girls with peers who may share experiences and interests. The goal is for participants to feel safe, seen and able to form friendships that are based on mutual understanding.
Cabin life and program activities create everyday opportunities to practice social choices, build trust and enjoy being part of a group.
Support for the whole person
Female staff mentors help participants navigate self-image, peer pressure, routines and personal care. Summit’s original material places value on understanding oneself while learning to connect with others.
Families can discuss grouping, privacy, support needs and the experience they hope their participant will have before enrollment.
